Anglesey, Beaumaris and more........

Idwal came to get us again the following day and off we went.  He toured us around the northern coast on our way to Anglesey.  Back through more beautiful and varied countryside....

We stopped in Betys-y Coed, a pretty little village nestled in the forest.

Then made our way through more beautiful scenery on our way to Anglesey.

Anglesey is a lovely island situated to the far west of Wales.

It boasts the first ever suspension bridge which is located over the Menai Straits.....

Where once again the scenery is achingly beautiful.....

It also boasts the longest word in the world.  I broke it down so you could attempt the pronunciation!

And here is the little church for which it is named.

Once again we were off driving through more beautiful landscapes, small villages and incredible views of the sea.

We ended our day in Beaumaris.  It is a gorgeous little town dominated by a gorgeous castle and nestled across the strait from the mainland.  How beautiful is this!!!!

The town itself is a pretty little thing......

And then there is the castle which is just as pretty and complete, or rather incomplete, with moat.  It was never finished.

After a stop in a local pub for dinner......

We were off to choir practice!!!
