Pretty Port Isaac, Cornwall...........

Idwal drove us to Birmingham and we caught the train to Cornwall.

I had chosen Port Isaac based on a conversation I had with a London cabbie the year before. He said if I went to Cornwall, I had to stay here.  So we are.  (I had also confirmed it with a tripadvisor contact who said it was the most beautiful part of the area.)

So here we are and man, were they right!  This place is beautiful. (At least as much we have seen so far.  Our first tour isn't for a couple of days so we are just checking out the town and our new house at the moment.)

We are staying at a cute cottage on a cliff overlooking the sea.  Naturally it is called Overcliff!!

It has 3 bedrooms, two baths and an "off the chart" view.  Here is the kitchen.....

Here is the living room.......

And here is the view through window one......

View through window two......

View through window three.

This is the Coastal Path that passes right under our windows....

This is the view from my room.....

View to the north.......

And this is the neighborhood......

This is the beacon bonfire ready to be lit on the cliff to honor the Queen's Jubilee....

Before.....

and after.

That London cabbie was right.  This is a really pretty place and the perfect location

 for a little R and R!!
