Beautiful Ravello!

Ravello is perched high above the Amalfi Coast and does not actually border it.  But after you see it's beauty, you will see why I never understand why so many people stop at Amalfi and never see this gem with it's dramatic views.

Popular with movie stars of the 30's, Greta Garbo was married here.  Wagner, the composer, also lived here.  Their haunt was the fabulous Villa Rufulo.

Although now a ruin, it is still a beautiful place and you can imagine the parties that were held there.

Although beautiful and romantic, it is not the villa's most valued asset. That would be this....

Whew!

From here we climbed higher up to the town's highest point to visit the famous Villa Cimbrone.  Once again it will be a mind blowing experience!

And once again beautiful but not what we came for.......we came to see this.

On a clear day, you can see forever........
